The name Sutcliffe has been synonymous with the world of Photography since 1863, when Frank Meadows Sutcliffe left his home in Harrogate, Yorkshire to go and work for the Yorkshire Evening Post. Making him, the first ,all time. official Press Photographer. There has been some interest in photograph within the family shown from time to time but nothing Professional until Keith Sutcliffe, left his home in Barnsley, Yorkshire, in 1957, almost 100 years later, and went to London seeking fame and fortune as a Free Lance Photographer, or, as it is called today Papperrazzi.
He was asked to go up to Pinewood Film Studio's where he was employed for three years as a Publicity and Promotional Photographer. Later, all of Pinewood was sold off and Keith was made redundant but managed to keep working with a few press jobs and the odd advertising work. It was while working on an Advertisement for Christie towels, in September 62 when Keith fell madly in love with the Model. Barbara Lawrence. After much conflict from both families, they married in Wood Green Registry Office. on the 14th. February, 1963 in 10ft of snow and they are still together to day, 47 years later.
In 1969, Barbara and Keith started CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHIC PICTURES, doing Promotional and Publicity pictures for Actors and Actresses photographing people like, Barbara Windsor, Joan Collins and a lot of totally unknowns. In 1970 they became Promotional Managers to The Eric Winston Organization. In 1988 GIRLSWORLD was first register, changed in 1995 to GIRLSWORLD INTERNATIONAL when we started sending dancer all over the world. It was changed again in 1999 because nobody new what would happen to computers as the New Millennium came and we were given the impression that we had to have a number in the url or your computer would blow up. What happened was, Nothing, Zilch. We have recently added, TODAY since we were getting away from 2000.
Now retired, Keith spends his Photographic time taking pictures, more of Models for their Publicity and Promotion and can now also create markets for would-be models. Photographing these models for calendars, Wall Prints and Posters or anything he can turn into a gift. He also still does Promotion and Publicity pictures for Models, Cabaret Artists and Actors. Now, any one who works with Keith and Barbara are registered with Girlsworld2000-Today
where they get all their publicity and Promotional Photographs taken by Keith. They will also be given work with Creative Photographic Pictures doing, Calendars, Poster, Wall Prints, T.Shirts, Gift Plates, Magazine work, Fashion Shoots and loads of other things.
